...........

Dots? Dots you say? Heeheeheehee... yeah dots cos at this moment I've absolutely nothing to do and there's nothing in my mind either. This is bringing vegging out to a whole new level of inertia... blogging about nothing :-S

Well, actually, I have lots to do. I should go to the post office to send off a parcel to Crafted with Love and to pick up some registered mail. Along the way, I could drop by the market and pick up some pork for Woofy's Choice. After that, I could go to the gym and have tea with my fitness instructor. Or I could re-do my manicure and not have such sloppy nails. Oh well.... maybe I'll come to such a state of inertia that I might reach nirvana. You need an empty mind to meditate so I'm probably halfway to nirvana by now...

Right.

My Lunar New Year

Wow... what a week it has been. I have been so busy baking and cooking straight out for a month flat before the lunar new year that I was so looking forward to a quiet holiday but of course, that didn't happen haha...

It was noisy, boisterous and busy with lots and lots of cooking. Non-stop by my BIL. And I had to help too, of course.

Here are some pics of the stuff I made.

Here's a chocolate mud cheesecake my friend ordered for her nephew's birthday :-)

This is our reunion dinner spread. This is just part of it as things were still being cooked/warmed-up as I took this pic. The table is an 8-ft long one and I could not fit everything into the frame. Half the food was prepared by my BIL and the other half by me :-)

Here's a pic of the tempura I taught my BIL to make :

There were lots more food, of course, like the goreng pisang, the yu sheng which we shredded by hand ourselves, the pork sausages we made, the kueh etc etc. But I don't have pics of them so we'll just have to do with what we do have ;-P

Gong xi fa cai to you and may you have a very blessed and happy Year of the Rat!!

Life is Good :-)

Wow... what a strange few months it has been. Life has been so interesting since I quit my jobs. Not a day has gone by since that has been uneventful, be it just relaxing at home or being on my feet all day cooking and baking or spending all day out with me friends visiting fish farms, going to the spa, checking out the food joints in geylang or just visiting with friends and having a good chat :-)

I really should bring my cam around with me and take pics of where I've been, who I've been with and what we've eaten. They do make for good memories and I do regret not having done so. Oh sure, there's a cam on my phone but I haven't downloaded the software yet so I can't get the pics in there on to here yet :-P

For all of you who hate your jobs but don't dare take the leap to do something you really enjoy just because you think you can't do without the money... I tell ya... I'm working a lot harder now to earn less than half of what I did before, but it's all worth it.

I have more free time now which I spend catching up with old and new friends and doing whatever I feel like doing. I'm so busy enjoying life now that my friends all say I'm busier than I've ever been before! HAHAHAHAHAHA... it's so true, really. And yet, there's so much more I want to do. I'm so enjoying working on Woofy's Choice (http:woofyschoice.blogspot.com) and all my baking and cooking. I get so tired but when there's a break, I get to rest. I've also got a part-time job now that I love. It doesn't pay much but the people I work with are really nice and I do so enjoy being there. It does not interfere with Woofy's Choice and even though I've had to work non-stop the past month baking CNY goodies, cooking for the dogs, learning the ropes at my new part-time job, I've enjoyed every second of it. All that hard work makes the rest times even more enjoyable and welcome :-D

I'll try to take some pics and post them here. I really should save all those good memories.... ;-)
